Westin, originally from South Texas, is a lab technician in our CCBF lab. He recently completed his Masters Degree at John Hopkins Medical University, and joined the CCBF team to learn more about research before going to medical school. As a lab technician, Westin works on various experiments and projects throughout the lab. In particular, Westin is working on expanding our knowledge of Autism, through examining the information being transmitted by exosomes released by cancer cells. Westin used to be a keen football player and played defensive end for Texas A & M. In fact it was through sustaining multiple injuries and subsequently spending hours in the operating room, which inspired him to explore the world of science.
