World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day (WCD) is a global event that takes place each year on February 4th. Individuals and organizations around the globe come together on this day to raise awareness about cancer, and to make it a global health priority.

The goal of WCD is to save millions of preventable deaths from cancer each year, by raising awareness and education about cancer.

Christian's Story

Christian was near death when we first met him - even though he was only 7 months old. Though he seemed perfectly healthy at birth, at 7 months of age he came to us at Weill Cornell's Pediatric Intensive Care, with seizures and was found to be bleeding in his brain and critically ill. His parents were terrified. It was heartbreaking. Christian hung on though.

CCBF Holiday Party

For the 2015 holiday season, we will be hosting two holiday parties for the patients at CCBF. The first one will take place on December 15th at 12PM at the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology of New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center for the hematology patients. The holiday party for the oncology patients will take place on December 17th at 12PM at the same location. Every year, the holiday party brings festive spirit and joy to the patients at CCBF. This event will include delicious food, face painting, and holiday treats for the children to enjoy.

The Second Annual Model Citizen Benefit

This December, CCBF will partner with SPiN New York, a global ping-pong social club, and Wilhelmina Models at the second annual Model Citizen Benefit.

The Annual Masonic Toys for Tots Event

The highly anticipated annual Masonic Toys for Tots event will take place at the Griffis Faculty Club on Thursday, December 10th from 9 am - 12:30 pm.

This festive event includes entertainment for all, a visit from elves, clowns, balloonists, as well as Santa Claus with his sleigh full of toys for the tots who are treated at the Pediatric Division.

For many years, the Masonic Toys for Tots Foundation Inc. has contributed thousands of dollars annually to CCBF in support of the life-saving blood transfusion needs of so many sick children.

2015 ASH Annual Meeting & Exposition

The American Society of Hematology (ASH) will host the 57th annual meeting and exposition from December 5th to 8th, 2015. Each year CCBF physicians and researchers attend this premier hematology event of the year.

This conference is an invaluable educational experience for all who attend and provides opportunities to learn about the latest clinical updates in research and therapies.

More than 20,000 professionals from around the world attend this event each year to grow professionally and network with those in the field.
